The Child, Juvenile, and Adult Management System (CJAMS Project): MD THINK -State of Maryland
CJAMS is a multi-million-dollar system change initiative centered on departmental upgrade of multifaceted legacy web-based and written manual systems to a web-based platform. CJAMS is supported and directed by the state of Maryland’s Total Human-services Integrated Network (MD THINK) which is an innovative, cloud-based platform. Among many other functionalities, CJAMS is a new system:
- For intake Workers, Supervisors, Case Managers, Administrators, and others to input and access information in real-time
- Is a web-based accessible system that can be used anywhere with an internet connection
- Allows workers to access information, and enter data from secure multi-media mobile devices
- Provide a platform for workers and families to interact in real time when dealing with issues related to needed services
As a consultant senior leadership assignment, I designed, developed, directed and managed a software e-learning computer-based training instructional initial curriculum to meet the needs of CJAMS. In addition, I served as the liaison and account manager for each related CJAMS departmental agency (Child Welfare, Juvenile, Adult Services, Management and Vendor Services), I was charged with creating and implementing transitional bi- weekly meetings with each agency regional lead representative and group meeting that included over 200 state mid-level managers.
The CJAMS Project required user-testing using computer-based training (CBT). The CBT utilized installed courseware that that was authored by both Articulate and Captivate which are the two-leading e-learning courseware developmental software in the industry of e-learning.
