Educational Institution

Wayne State University (WSU) is a renowned national public research university that is in an urban setting. With a multidisciplinary approach based upon research and education, it consistently collaborates with various governmental departments, industry entities, and other educational institutions to enrich economic growth as it heightens the quality of life for the residents in the city of Detroit, state of Michigan and around the world. WSU has many colleges centered on various disciplinary fields of study. WSU’s mission is focused on educational excellence, inclusion, and social justice.

Description of Degree Earned

Through a demanding and rigorous plan of study, I earned my PhD from Wayne State University College of Education’s department of Administrative Organizational Study with a focus on performance improvement and instructional technology with a cognate in curriculum development. Now, this department has renamed itself to the department of “Learning Design and Technology.”

WSU PhD program allowed me to channel my passion of learning to focused on the historical and theoretical foundations of inclusive areas of the adult learner, organizational analysis and studies, instructional design, needs assessment, gap analysis, intervention selection and implementation, and levels of evaluation. Inclusive, each of these areas of study were guided by and based-on learning how to employ sound quantitative and qualitative research methods to yield successful results. In addition, I learned how to employ technology to create and develop multi-media solutions to improve learning and performance.
